The InfoMentor Hub app is available free of charge from your app store.
Reporting absence
You can report your child’s absence for the current day or the following day. In the app, select Absence, then Report absence and confirm. A new sickness absence report must be submitted for each day your child is away.
Students under the age of 18 cannot report their own absence. This is the guardian’s responsibility, so please do not share your login details with your child.
Following your child’s progress
You can also use InfoMentor to view your child’s timetable, planning and assignments, assessments and other documentation.

Here you can find information about school terms and holidays. We ask guardians to plan trips and other activities outside term time wherever possible, to minimise disruption to learning.
After-school care
After-school care at Stockholm International Academy
Our after-school provision complements the school day by offering a safe, enjoyable and enriching environment. Through play and structured activities, children develop new skills, build relationships and grow physically, intellectually and emotionally.
We provide a balanced mix of child-led and organised activities, shaped by the children’s interests. Our staff lead and support activities after school and during breaks, helping to strengthen the school community and prevent conflict. Students can also help manage play and games equipment. Whenever possible, activities take place outdoors in the school grounds or local area.
Students must be enrolled in after-school care or the after-school club to use the school bus.
Applications: After-school care is available for children aged 6–9, and the after-school club for children aged 10–13. Guardians should register their interest when applying for a school place.
Fees: Participation is optional and guardians pay a monthly fee.
Leaving the service: Guardians must give one month’s notice. Fees remain payable during the notice period.
Morning provision runs approximately from 07:35 to 08:30, with breakfast served until 08:00. Afternoon provision runs approximately from 13:30 to 17:00.

Student accident insurance
Students who live in the City of Stockholm are insured through S:t Erik Försäkrings AB. Students who live in Sollentuna, Järfälla, Upplands Väsby, Solna, Sundbyberg, Sigtuna or Upplands-Bro are covered by accident insurance through Stockholmsregionens Försäkring AB (SRF).
The insurance covers accidents during school activities and direct travel to and from school. It also provides round-the-clock accident cover, including during leisure time. If a student is injured during the school day, their guardian must report the injury to S:t Erik Försäkrings AB.

Admissions and waiting-list rules
Stockholm International Academy applies clear admissions and waiting-list rules to ensure equal treatment in accordance with the Swedish Education Act and Discrimination Act.
How places are allocated
Sibling priority
Subject to availability, priority is given to children who will have a sibling attending the same school in the relevant academic year. Both children must be registered at the same address.
Geographical proximity
Date of application
We operate a chronological waiting list based on the date of application. Within the relevant year group, the child who has waited the longest is offered a place first. This applies both to children living in the school’s municipality and to those living elsewhere.
Special quota for newly arrived students
Since 1 November 2016, Swedish law has allowed independent schools to use a special quota to admit newly arrived students ahead of the waiting list. Its purpose is to make schools with waiting lists more accessible to newly arrived students. The quota applies to students who have lived in Sweden for less than two years before the start of the relevant academic year.
School bus arrangements at SIA Schools
Where possible, SIA Schools provide school bus services in areas with a sufficient number of students. To be offered a place, the following conditions must be met:
- The student must attend reception class to Year 5.
- The student must use a stop on the existing bus route.
- The school must be able to ensure the safety of everyone on board.
- The student must follow the bus rules.
- The guardian is responsible for ensuring that the student arrives at and is collected from the stop on time.
- The student must be enrolled in after-school care, as buses arrive and depart during after-school hours.

We employ teachers in several mother tongues who also provide study support. For languages with fewer students, we engage qualified teachers through external mother-tongue tuition providers.
