About SIA Häggvik
About the school
Stockholm International Academy in Häggvik is an F–9 school that opened in 2016. It is set in a quiet, green part of Sollentuna with excellent transport links and has around 400 students from reception class to Year 9.
Close relationships between students and staff are central to daily life. Every student is seen and supported in a safe, structured and encouraging learning environment that promotes both academic and personal development.
Headteacher’s welcome
Welcome to SIA-Häggvik
Welcome to SIA Häggvik, a school where we meet our students with warmth, curiosity and a strong belief in their potential. We want every student to feel seen, valued and proud of their progress, both as a learner and as a person.
School is about more than lessons in a classroom. It is also about the moments between lessons, conversations in the corridors and relationships that build trust. We aim to be adults who are genuinely present: adults who listen, support and encourage, and who notice when someone needs extra help to move forward.
Clear expectations and consistent ways of working make the school day safe and predictable, creating the calm students need to focus on learning.
Language is one of the most important keys to knowledge and future opportunities. By reading, discussing, writing and thinking together, we open doors to new ideas and perspectives. We want students to enjoy reading, feel confident expressing themselves and know that their voices matter. They also learn to reflect on themselves and the world around them, recognising that people can think and experience life in different ways. This helps them become thoughtful young adults who meet others with curiosity, respect and understanding.
We make room for curiosity and the courage to try something new. Students are encouraged to think independently, work together, solve problems and test their ideas. Successes and challenges alike help them develop skills they will carry throughout life.
We know that this works best when we do it together. When home and school listen to one another and work towards the same goals, we create the best possible conditions for every student.
Our hope is that every student leaves SIA Häggvik with strong knowledge, greater self-confidence and a belief in their ability to shape their own future.
